VMG Projects was set up in spring 2005 by Matthew Cowpe as a vehicle to better serve his existing clients and to enable him to take on further and diversified projects.
VMG Projects has acted as an owner's representative and project manager in a wide range of projects including:-
 | Owner's representative in the purchase of a 36m performance-cruiser and the subsequent completion of the build and delivery of the yacht. Required coordination between owner, lawyers, brokers, yard and crew. |

Commissioning and testing of Swan 90 sloop. Equipping and delivery of yacht to Mediterranean. Management of the warranty claim. |
 | Owner's representative in negotiating and overseeing the sale of a 26m sailing yacht. Full authority was given to VMG Projects in contract negotiation and signing of both the brokerage agreements and the final sale contracts. |
 | Project Managers for the major reconfiguring and refit of 20m sailing yacht. Project included the specification of a new sail plan and deck layout and required coordination between naval architects, structural engineers and suppliers. |

Matthew Cowpe BSc, MRIN
Matt Cowpe has enjoyed a wide career in professional yachting. He obtained a BSc in Marine Navigation with Marine Computer Applications from Plymouth University.
Immediately following graduation in 1995, Matt commenced working full time with performance and luxury yachts, employment that has continued without break to date. Matt became Captain of an 18m Swan aged 22 and has worked aboard sailing yachts up to 34m.
During over 10 years in command, Matt was responsible for a number of major and minor refits at yards in the UK, Europe and the USA. These always needed to be completed to tight schedules to fit in with intensive charter and private sailing programmes. Projects included:

Matt dual qualified as a deck officer and engineering officer gaining both the Master of Yachts (3000 GT) and Marine Engine Operators
Licence. His move into full time project management came in 2002 / 2003. Since that time Matt has worked on a wide range of projects ranging from new build custom yachts to refits of 30 year old production "classics".
With a wide range of specialist contacts in the industry, Matt is able to draw
in additional resources as and when required to meet specific project
objectives including structural engineers and specialist surveyors.
